Pupserve sells one thing: what it takes to make a dog run after a ball. An automatic launcher, the balls that go with it, and a flying disc. A short range, chosen so the pieces fit each other.
Fetch is the simplest way to tire a dog out, and it is also the fastest way to wear out the owner's shoulder. Twenty throws is pleasant. Two hundred a week is much less so. An automatic launcher settles exactly that: the dog drops the ball into the chute, the machine sends it back, and the game carries on without anyone hurting an arm.
How we choose
We start from a real constraint rather than a spec sheet: an apartment or a house with a city garden, a dog under about forty-five pounds, and room for a throw of ten to thirty feet. That is the situation the Pupserve launcher is built around — ten inches wide, three adjustable distances, and 2-inch balls a small mouth picks up without straining. A bigger machine would throw further, into a living room where nobody has the space to use it.
The accessories follow the same logic. The flying disc is soft rubber, because a rigid one arriving edge-on hurts. The balls squeak and are textured, because that is what makes a dog want to bring them back. Nothing is here to lengthen a catalogue.
